Meeting the Parents (3)

*Sigh*.

I’ve miscalculated.

I never thought that this bastard would wake up even earlier than freaking roosters!

“Qi Qi, I’ve been right here waiting for you since yesterday,” Jiang Fangcheng gritted through his teeth.

Bai Qi thought for a second, he knew that he wouldn’t be fast enough to run back into the building.

Jiang Fangcheng was part of the basketball team in his first and second year of university.
Although his stature was not as huge as Mu Dong and the rest, it definitely wouldn’t be difficult for him to hold Bai Qi back.

Bai Qi’s eyes and brows sank, his shoulders shrinking as he said softly, “Move aside.”

“Move aside to let you go where? Huh? For you to go find that man?”

Bai Qi really couldn’t get it.
How could Jiang Fangcheng still self-confidently come and pester him?

Perhaps insane people have a different way of thinking from normal people.

And, he couldn’t possibly expect someone insane to act normally.

Bai Qi took in a deep breath, letting the cold air fill his nostrils.
He coughed a couple times.

“What’s wrong? Did you catch a cold?” Jiang Fangcheng was suddenly anxious.

Bai Qi raised his head again, the tip of his nose reddened from the cold.
Even the area around his eyes was decorated with a slight shade of redness due to him coughing.

“I need to go home.”

“Is something up?” Jiang Fangcheng’s heart suddenly clenched.

Bai Qi pursed his lips, not uttering a word.

Jiang Fangcheng regained some of his senses.

Bai Qi had always stayed on campus because it was easier for him to study and prepare for his exams.
If he were to go home so suddenly… it would mean that there was truly something up.

Jiang Fangcheng clenched his teeth.
With no choice, he stepped aside.

If something major were to happen because of his act of stopping Bai Qi, Bai Qi was unlikely to ever forgive him within this lifetime.

Ah, he really didn’t want to let Bai Qi go…

Bai Qi dragged his luggage as he walked right past Jiang Fangcheng.

He scrunched up his face after he had walked slightly farther away.

Is there any use going to the police?

Nevermind.

Outsiders can’t do much about the disagreements between a man and a woman, not to mention disagreements between two men.

Bai Qi got into a taxi and soon after, Jiang Fangcheng got into another taxi behind him.
“Follow that car,” Jiang Fangcheng said.

Bai Qi headed back home first, packing some things, and then he sat inside and waited.

While he was waiting, he hadn’t forgotten to fish out a book to bury himself in.

Over the past few days, Jiang Fangcheng had thoroughly ruined the impression Bai Qi had of him.

Jiang Fangcheng’s engagement couldn’t even affect him anymore as he continued reading.

Bai Qi waited until it was 11 o’clock.
Noticing that it was almost time, he gave Shang Guang a call.
He also notified him about the change of address.

“Ah, okay.
An assistant, Little Lin, will be there in a bit.
I’ve given him your number and he’ll be giving you a call once he’s there.” It seemed like Shang Guang was extremely busy, for he answered and hung up in a hurry.

Bai Qi didn’t mind either.

They were in the entertainment industry, it was a given that they’d be fully occupied.

Half an hour later, Little Lin’s call came.

Little Lin joined Xi Chengyun’s studio not too long ago.
They had to send him today because, well, they had no other choice.
Everyone else was too busy.

Little Lin followed the address given to him.
“This place really is secluded,” he couldn’t help but mutter to himself as he walked inward.

Little Lin climbed up a few floors, already feeling tired.

Who am I picking up today though?

For the love of god!

Xi-laoshi even knows people from places like these?

Little Lin raised his hand and knocked on the door.
Soon, the door opened from the inside.

“Little Lin?”

“Ah,” Little Lin expressed, subsequently nodding at him somewhat stiffly.

“Let’s go then.
I’m done packing.” Bai Qi dragged his luggage behind him, and Little Lin quickly moved forward, reaching out to help.

Bai Qi was on the move at full speed.
He headed downstairs and entered the car, and he was gone before Jiang Fangcheng could even react.

It’s that car… it looked… familiar.

Jiang Fangcheng furrowed his eyebrows.

Where has he seen it before? Where has he? In…

In Xi Chengyun’s garage.

Jiang Fangcheng’s heart jumped out of his chest at the thought of that name, instinctively afraid.

By the time his fear had faded, his phone rang.
Han Si was looking for him.

With no choice left, Jiang Fangcheng took his leave.

Little Lin got into the driver’s seat and immediately gave Shang Guang a call.

Only then, did Shang Guang let him know where he was supposed to go.

Bai Qi listened in.

The address was located in the Yi Garden township.

The Yi Garden township they spoke of was extremely well-known in Jing City.
Many famous actors and idols, as well as the wealthy, have bought property here.
It was the most sought-after real estate region over the past two years, and each house costs around 100 million.

Not long after Little Lin and Shang Guang ended their call, there’s an incoming call from Xi Chengyun on Bai Qi’s phone.

Bai Qi was puzzled.

Wasn’t it enough to contact him through Shang Guang?

However, he still answered the phone.
