Fictional peace

The sound of rain droplets falling on the ground could be heard along with the footsteps of an individual running. The soothing smell of the ground mixed with the rusting smell of his blood.

Where darkness and shades of blood-red, light met, raindrops fell over an unknown creature. A skull with no skin, red flames ignited in his eyes. Sharp red claws which he used to slash the shrubs, looking around, breathing heavily.

His whole body started shivering as he saw a slight moment in the shrubs. His eyes hurried to look for his predator. Scared of the slight disturbance in the grass near him, he started running in an unknown direction.

An arrow destroying the shrubs pierced his armour.

He could sense an unknown liquid spreading inside him as his vision got blurry. The red flames in his eyes started to demolish. He tried to grab a tree branch but wasn able to. He loses his vision completely and falls.

Another individual who followed him with a bow walked toward him. The bow begins disappearing from his hand. His face was covered with a mask along with a cloak that covered his body. Red fragments from the preys body started flying toward the bracelet of the individual.

”Was he the one? ”The predator questioned within his head.

[The numbers have gone up]

A group of skeletons started to surround him. The group shivered as they were pressured by a tremendous force.

A snake appeared on his neck above the cloak, glaring at the tiny skulls. The tiny skulls start bouncing on the skeletons shoulders.

[You should leave Vista, he had the superior ability among them all]

Vista shot an arrow. Using the rope connected to the arrow he swung, leaving the scene.

The skeletons jumped from the trees, In a second all of them stood beside their leader. They sobbed as they stood there powerless. The red tears coming out of their eyes could be easily distinguished from the transparent water from the skies.

Vista in a place far away, rested on a tree enjoying the night view of the sky. A tiny drop of water falls from the sky, about to enter his eyes. Vista closes his eyelids. The sound of the rain falling to the ground and the soothing smell of the ground disappears.

When Vista opened his eyes, the stars had changed their locations as the moon enlarged. ”Vista ” A call came for him. Vista, lying on his roof enjoying the view, walked down the wooden stairs.

His Grandma was sitting at the table waiting for him. Vista sat beside his grandma. As the meal ends Grandma finally releases the words she held during the meal. ”I have some savings for your university.. ”

Vista interrupted her and waved his hands ” Nah, grandma you should use that money, maybe for renovation. ” He pointed towards the ceiling. The roof had cracked as the paint faded on the walls. ”The building may fall if I coughed without holding myself. Ahem ”

Grandma pulled his cheeks. ”I knew your answer would be something similar. When will you stop roasting my house? ”She was always worried about Vista, as she was his only guardian after his father and mother.

Vista after finishing his dinner went to his room and sat on his bed. In his room, a picture of vista as a kid and his parents hung on the wall.

When he saw that picture, a few memories of his past rushed into his mind. He saw himself walking with his father as he grabbed a single finger of his father with his hand. Vista sees his father sitting in front of him as he rubs his head. ”Ill always be there for you ”

Everything went black and the volume of his words started to increase. The voice kept repeating like an echo. The memory turned into a horrific daydream for Vista. He covered his ears and came out of the daydream.

He forced his eyes to close again. ”I can trade everything I hold to meet him once ”He whispers and goes to sleep.

Vista witnesses the moon disappearing along with the stars. The view that he enjoyed became nothing but darkness. Vista looked below him, and he could see a shadow on which he stood.

The shadow roared. It was an unfamiliar roar he never heard from any animal he could think of.

Vista lost his balance to the roar and fell from the shadow. After experiencing some darkness his eyes slowly opened, and a beam of light hit his eyes.

He removed his arm covering his eyes. He shook his head. The dream was weird for him but nothing in comparison to the situation he was in.

He was in a room with strangers who had the same expression as him. The cracks in the building were worse than in his house. He noticed some stairs.

He stood up and moved out of the room avoiding strangers. As he went to the roof of the building he found it was covered by forest on the other side it was at the edge of a cliff with the ocean across.

He takes a step back from the edge of the roof.

”I wouldn like to swim there along with strangers ”

He started looking for the exit. He reached the bottom floor where he saw a door but with a strange barrier. One he saw in sci-fi movies.

A guy threw a rock at the barrier and the rock vanished as it made contact with the barrier.

”What! Is it some kind of game? ” Terrified by the scene like every stranger there he expressed his anger.

He stepped back and picked up another stone and threw it again then again and again until Vista grabbed his arm.

”Calm down bro it ain helping. Have you checked every room? Was there no other opening ? ”

”No, but there might be windows we should check, ”Leon replied as he rushed through the stairs.

They checked different rooms, all rooms were closed with different strangers and some food in every room. As they distributed food Leon sat near the barrier in the hope it would open soon.

Vista went to the roof and enjoyed the view as the wind blew past him. ”Where exactly are we? ” Vista throws a rock in the sea.

As Vista sat on the edge of the roof he felt a vibration, and soon cracks appeared on the floor, and the ground started crumbling. Vista ran towards the edge of the building as he saw half the portion of the building falling into the ocean.

He saw a girl falling along with the floor. The portion of the building where the vista stood also started to fall. He could see the portions of the building falling in slow motion. He thought maybe this is what we call adrenalin rush.

In the name of survival instinct, he started jumping on the rocks to climb up.

He remembered the girl and turned back. ”Hope I won die trying to be a hero. ”He changes his direction and jumps towards the girl.

Vista looked behind. He saw a big rock coming toward him, he used that rock as a footing and jumped towards the girl. After grabbing her he used another rock to grab the crack on the wall in front of him with one of his arms.

Vista looked back and sighed. He saw portions of the building splashing in the ocean.

”Ummm can you hold me? ”with a red face he thought this was neither a dream nor reality. He started climbing the cliff. As he was about to reach the top Leon stood there cheering for him.

Leon grabbed his arm and pulled him up. ”How! the **** Did you do that? ” Everyone other than Leon was looking at their bodies as if it wasn theirs.

Vista understood that he wasn the only one with superhuman abilities. Leon nudged him and pointed his finger to the girl who was clinging to Vista with her eyes closed.

”You can leave me now, ”

”Thank you, for saving ”, still terrified by the fall, she assembles her words.

”No problem ” Vista scratched the back of his head.

Vista walked with Leon telling him about the supernatural abilities he experienced.

”You got the best chance to show off your abilities ”Someone ran Leon past, giving a slight push to him.

”Hey what are you— ” Leon screamed.

Many people in the crowd started panicking. Vista realised that the number of people around them was few in comparison to before.

He went to the cliff top, sadly no one was there.

Vista took a step back as he faced the ground

”Was this some kind of test? ”Everyone who stood there started moving. Vista placed his hands in his hoodie pocket and started moving along with the strangers.

Everyone decided to explore the forest. Vista noticed a weird animal on the branch. A white rabbit with a huge tail which he used to swing between branches. The fur of the rabbit shone in daylight along with its violet eyes.

”Where are we! ”Vista gulped air through his neck.

Two guys led them. They both were the only ones who interacted with most people.

One of them looked at the vista and raised his eyebrow. Vista did the same as a greeting. He was Axel. He looked calm unlike every other guy there.

He was motivating many of them so that they could go back. Those words according to Vista were nothing but lies and fake hope.

On the other side was Oliver who also tried to talk to people. But Vista didn like him. He thought in his head ”Something is weird about him. Like I care ”

Vista started investigating the weird plants he didn see before, nor anyone else did.

Vista heard the bubbling and splashing of water. As he moved towards the sound he saw a waterfall and a narrow river with fish swimming around.

An open ground was in front of them with the river in between which they easily crossed. People who didn know how to swim were able to swim in rapids without any problems.

They decided to stay there as they saw the sunset. Vista slept on a tree as he saw the orange sky. ”Wherever we are this place has breathtaking sites ”

Clouds turned blue and the sun disappeared below the neverending river, while weird birds were flying with their chirpings.

On the next day, they all worked together to construct some fences, as they all feared the weird animals.

Axel suggested hunting for food while Oliver was leading in building the fences. Vista wanted to explore the land, but he was in the building team as he had no experience in hunting.

One group stood near the river, fishing with handmade fishing rods. Some with spears made from rocks.

Another group was also gone hunting. Vista picked a bone of fish that he felt was unexpectedly hard. He remembered weird plants with ductile vines that he noticed and used them to assemble a bow. Vista launched a stick with it. As it hit the target, a smile appeared on his face.

Vista escaped the building team and started exploring the land. Vista again noticed that brown rabbit swinging.

Vista shot an arrow made of fish bones that were hard as metal. He missed his first shot, the arrow went past the rabbit. The rabbit started jumping on the branch and started making a weird noise while looking toward Vista.

Soon there was a group of rabbits making an echo of screeching which caused Nero to slowly lose his consciousness

This was something similar to what happened to him almost every day. Vista covered his ears as a reflex. He ran as hard as he could and bumped into Axel. Axel was shocked to see him.

Axel was leading the group hunting, and their forage was going successful. Vista explained to him what happened.

Axel laughed ”You don need to fear them they haven attacked any of us they just make us drowsy by that noise ”

”Can you tell us where they went ? ” A girl with red hair asked Vista. Her eyes were far more terrific than those rabbits. Vista pointed in the direction he came from.

Axel gave a head nod to the girl. She commanded some members of the group to look for them.

”Can I explore with you? ” Vista asked with a cracked voice. Axel nodded again as the girl looked at axel.

”Ok lets take your revenge together ” as she leaned on him.

Vista whispers to himself. ”I won let this chance go ”

While he was in his thoughts Nash stole one of his arrows. ”I am Nash may I know your name Mr avenger ”

”I am Vista ”

”What are these weird stones? ” she touched an arrowhead.

”These are the bones of the fishes these are much harder and sharp as well so I ”

” oooh, cool! can I try one ”

Vista agreed and once they spotted a rabbit she pulled the string of the bow along the arrow.

The arrow barely missed one of the team members. ”I don think I should use it again, ”

Nash handed the bow back to Vista. Vista smiled with some wrinkles on his forehead. Vista went to take the arrow back. As he pulled the arrow back, the arrowhead was burning.

Vista blew at the arrowhead to extinguish the flame. ” this weird place ”

Vista came across a rabbit that was eating fruits from the tree separating them from the branch using its tail. Vista aimed at him, As he aimed towards the rabbit, It glared back at him.

It was the first time not only for vista but something new for the rabbit too. It had never witnessed a predator without any killing instinct.

Vista couldn release the arrow and put his bow down and the rabbit escaped.

”Wow, previously they took advantage of my fear and now of my sympathy ”

Leon approached him and asked, ”Is this your first hunt ? ”

”Next time I won drop my bow no matter what I find ”

”If you won hunt them someone else will and there are chances of you being the prey. ”

Unfortunately, Vista again witnessed a rabbit and he moved quicker than the previous ones, swinging with his tail.

Vista aimed at him and shot.

It hit his leg and he fell to the ground. The rabbit tried to jump but wasn able to. It looked towards Vista with eyes pleading for his life as it removed the arrow from his leg by his tail. Vista looked in the rabbits eyes as it pleaded for mercy.

Vista releases the arrow as the woody end of the arrow leaves Vistas fingers and it permeates the rabbits torso. The eyes of the rabbit close.

Axel witnessed this, as he entered the scene.
