Fictional peace

Vista ends up waking again, arriving back into the same nightmare.

[Theres someone nearby]The similar voice warns Vista in his head.

A spear comes flying towards Vista. Vista catches the spear and stands up.

The spear transforms into a snake and crawls down the tree, escaping Vista.

Footsteps could be heard, behind the bushes on the ground, from the branches of the trees.

Vista closes his eyes, he could see different predators roaming around him.

Vista jumps down the tree, A group of arrows comes toward him as he jumps. Vista creates two barriers stopping all the arrows.

Vista lands on the ground, As the barrier disappears, Vista is attacked by an axe.

Vista dodges the attack and the axe lands on the ground.

The humongous Axe is held by a boulder himself. Skin made of rocks, the person picks the axe back on his shoulder.

Vista summons a sword and vanishes and so does the hand of the boulder.

Vista appears on the tree behind another guy.

Vista kicks the guy, and vines from the trees tangle around him as he falls.

[Thats quite a number]

Vista summons a bow and launches a group of arrows, the arrows penetrate the predators as they roam around.

Vista jumps in the sky above the trees, assembling a board he flies away.

[Your accuracy has improved]

Vista disappears in the sky, daylight disappears signifying the wheel of time.

Vista and the group walk back to come back to base.

Vista tries to hide behind Leon, as he sees Oliver coming enraged toward him.

Leon pulled him to the front and put both of his hands on his shoulder. ”Why are you hiding? You did a good job. Many were not able to kill even a single one of these weird animals. ”

Vista smiled with a pale face. Oliver grabbed his shoulder ”Let me borrow your friend for a sec ”

Nash grabbed Vistas arm. ”He is in the hunting team now ”

”So will you do his work instead of him ? ”

”I have great advice for you why can you do his work, and then you will please more people ”

Oliver tries to pull him. Nash counters the force.

”I will do my work and help you in hunting, but only if you won tear my arm off ”

”You don need to do this much work ” nash pulls his arm.

”You won be doing this much work. You didn do your previous so don pretend. ” Oliver pulls.

Nashs hand slips and Vista lands on Oliver.

Leon pulls him up ”You are not that lucky ”

Axel enters the commotion ”Let him do whatever he wants ”Although Oliver didn like to follow orders Nash always supported Axels decisions.

Oliver takes vista to the base. Fences covered the area. They were also building an incomplete roof.

Oliver pointed towards a hole in the roof. ”You can go hunting after completing that area. ”

Oliver shows him the material. Vista grabs a wooden plank.

”No need to work now. If you do not want to sleep, then help in guarding. Don waste the time that you get, because someone else is sacrificing their sleep ”Despite being rude Oliver had good leadership qualities.

Vista drops the material and convinces one of the guards to switch positions with him.

Olivers words made Vista realise his carelessness ”they made this much progress in very less time, but could have been better if I worked ”

”Did you make these arrows? ” a guy gazed at his arrows.

”Will I have to explain it again? ”He explained how he made those arrows and about the bow as he was interested in it too.

The other guy was Sam. He was the one who gave most of the ideas for the weapons.

Although many had their ideas, those didn end up well.

Sam had completed his sleep so he switched his position with him.

Vista went to check the stability of the roof. Although it was stable, it was not strong enough.

Vista remembered the words Oliver said and went to sleep.

Vista saw his dad in front of him, and as he tried to go toward him, his breathing rate increased. He became unconscious.

Vista woke up as he breathed heavily.

[Calm down] an unknown voice came.

Vista looked around, as he pressed his head.

Vista went to the roof near the hole and started to put planks then started tying them as silently as he could as everyone else was sleeping.

A plank falls from the hole, Vista catches it in mid-air.

After doing his work he went to the guards to switch positions with him. The girl who Vista saved came there.

Vista and the girl stood there silently. Vista tried to end the awkward silence. Hi, I didn get your name yesterday ”

She introduced herself as Lara.

”What are you waiting for? You are in the hunting group if I remember correctly ”

”Yeah, they are leaving. Nash told me to call you. She said you can leave your work that lazy Oliver will do it by himself ”

Vista was confused why she was standing there in silence.

Other guards who heard that laughed.

”Don say that in front of Oliver. ”

When they reached the spot they had already left. Lara tried to call Nash but there was no sign of them.

Vista blamed her for not saying anything and standing there in silence. ”I won be roaming alone, at least I have a partner, ”Vista thought in his head.

Vista remembered Sam told him that Lara was chosen as a hunter as she was worse at building and bad at hunting. ” I shouldn count her, ” he sighed.

Vista was feeling some heat coming out of his body.

”Fever already ”

They roamed the forest as they looked for Nash and the group.

Vista tried to end the silence again.

”So what did you do in your previous life? ”

”I was sold as a prostitute ”

There was more awkward silence than before.

”ooh, you were kidding hahaha right ? ”

”No, I wasn ”She was serious, not sad about it as she looked around. Vista knew that she wasn kidding but he still had doubts.

They heard a scream. They started sprinting towards the voice.

They found a hunter who was on the floor begging for help. The guy on the floor tried to push the animal as it tore his body with his claws and was about to tear his neck.

It was a hedgehog with terrifying claws like moles.

It looked towards Vista.

[Run]

It rolled into a sphere and spun towards them.

Vista grabbed Lara and they dodged the rolling hedgehog. They hide behind a tree.

”Are you ok? ”

Lara nodded her head.

Hedgehog came rolling in front of them.

Vista ran and shot an arrow towards it.

The arrow hits its hard shell and falls to the ground.

Vista hides behind another tree.

Vista peeks from the side, Spines from his body come flying toward Vista.

It penetrated the trees and scratched Vistas arm.

Several thoughts barged Vistas head.

”Should we run?

Its too fast.

I might get tired soon.

Is there any other option ”

A spear came flying towards the hedgehog and it went directly through him. Vista saw Nash trying to launch another Spear.

The hedgehog dodged the next one, it moved but the previous spear was still in his chest as it waddled.

Vista started shooting arrows.

It tries to roll back but the spear makes it impossible.

Vistas arrow starts penetrating it. It launches another spine from its body.

Vista dodges it.

Sam and some other hunters also arrived. A bunch of arrows came flying toward the hedgehog.

The hedgehog bleeding from several arrows in his body stands up.

Vista glares at Sams sword.

”Pass it ” Vista screams toward Sam as he starts running towards the hedgehog.

Sam threw the sword toward Vista.

Vista catches and thrashes the swords in the hedgehog. He grabs the spear out and pierces it again.

”And a few seconds ago I was thinking I wouldn find someone like Nash ” Sam approached Vista.

Sam wasn comfortable with all the blood spattering around but he still forced himself to walk toward Nash. Nash sat beside the hunter.

”Why didn you wait for me? ”

”I thought you were ” Nash couldn complete his sentence. The hunters eyes closed.

Vista comes near Nash. ”It wasn your mistake ” Vista realised this wasn a situation to blame others for anything, they all had their burdens.

Nash stands up. Other hunters explained the situation to Vista.

Their groups were divided this time.

Vista and Lara joined Nash. After hunting, Vista went to a location he had found while hunting.

It was a cave with a few holes on the roof.

The sunlight came inside through the holes lightning up the cave. In the cave, Vista started practising with his bow.

”If he wouldn have died it could have been Lara or me. ”

[Not until I am with you] Vista terrified the voice aimed towards the cave entrance.

[You can see me not now at least ]

”Where are you ? ”Vista thought the cave was a safe place but after seeing a hunter becoming prey, he couldn consider any spot safe in this place.

[You can relax and remember I helped you to survive that creature.]

”Why did you? ”

[We are kind of partners now]

Vista, still terrified, unable to find the speaker puts his bow down ”I hope I don regret this.

Now come out. ”

[You are the one who can summon me. I can do it alone.]

”Explain yourself ”

[If you want to summon me you need to learn how to control nesk. It wouldn be difficult as now you can talk to me means now your body is compatible with it.]

”You mean this weird heat coming from me that I have been feeling since morning. ”

[Its not from your body just try to absorb it]

Vista sensed strange heat collecting around his body, He tried to absorb it. A bracelet started appearing on Vistas wrists. Until now Vista didn believe him but now as he got sight of the bracelet forming in thin air, he closed his eyes and concentrated on the heat waves around him.

A white and blue bracelet with a blue snake crafted on it shone brightly on his wrist.

Vista could feel the warmth inside him.

He Clenches his fists. He felt much stronger than before.

”So where are you? ”

[I think in your wrists, you can summon me in another form but for that, you need to train.]

”How? ”

[It wouldn be this easy, you can rest now. We will try it later someday.]

”How? ”Excited by the situation, Vista wanted to move one step further.

[You don listen, do you? Try to absorb the nesk and then concentrate it into your wrists.]

Vista could see nesk more clearly and he could see different colours of it. He started absorbing it. Vista started panting.

He concentrated more on the nesk but most of it was fleeing in different directions. Vista forced it to go to the bracelet.

[Its time to meet]

Vista feels hard scales sliding on his skin. A blue snake appears in front of Vistas face. With his tiny black eyes, he looked towards Vista while its tail crawled on his neck. As the snake rattled on his body so did Vista.

Vista felt tired as he had been working for several days. It started disappearing as vista fell. Vista closed his eyes and he went to sleep in seconds.

Lara went to Leon ”Have you seen vista? Its sleep time and he didn show up for dinner either. ”

Hearing that Leon remembered the body of the guy torn by a hedgehog.

They both went to look for him.

They found a weird cave. Leon entered the cave and Lara followed her. It was full of arrows and some spikes from the hedgehog.

Lara knew those were Vistas arrows while Leon recognized the spikes from the hedgehog.

They found vista sleeping inside the cave.

Leon kicked vista.

Vista wakes up. He feels a headache and slight pain in his chest. He picked his body above the ground.

Leon kicked him again. ”Why are you sleeping here, are you the new blue hedgehog? ”Enraged and still terrified by the cave, Leon looks around.

”Calm down bro its peaceful here no other creature enters this cave as the hedgehog lived here. Its quite a place to train and sleep ” he stretched his arms as he yawned.

Lara laughed at him.

They went back to the base and Vista went to the roof to sleep, still tired from his experiment. The next day, Vista woke up and looked down from the edge of the roof.

Lara stood there calling for him. Vista went to her.

”Wheres everyone else? ”

”They made teams to explore more of the forest thats why they went searching ”

”All of them, even the builders. Was Oliver mad at me again? ”

” Oliver, unexpectedly he was impressed by your roof construction.

He convinced Nash to let you sleep.

She wanted to see more of your weapons. Shes a barbarian ”

”You can say that in front of her ”

”I already did and she was happy about it ”

Vista grimaced ” I don know what is weirder the humans here or this place ”

”Whats weird about me? ”

Vista remembered her calling herself a slave.

”I don mean all, some guys here ”Vista gazed at her as she smiled.

Someone whispers to Vista as Vista stands in darkness.

”Talk to you later ” Lara waved his hands in front of Vista.

Vista is unable to notice the hands standing there. Lara leaves as Vista is still in his daydream.

Vista wakes up noticing Laras disappearance and decides to go to the river.

He remembered Lara and Leon and then the guy who talked to him. Vista shakes his head trying not to enter the daydream again.

Vista soaks himself in the river, he notices colourful fishes swimming, Vista puts his arm inside the cold water trying to catch one.

The fishes inside dodged his hands and moved away from him.

Vista looks at the water, he notices a weird tattoo on his neck.

[Thats a gift from me]

”You
e back again, parasite. What can I call you? ”

[We are designated by our species as a group but here we are forced to work as individuals.]

”Lets give you a name then. I already decided on a name for you, but it wouldn suit a blue snake ”

[Thats not my only form]Taking Vistas words as disrespect, it spoke in an angry voice.

”I am seeing a weird creature in my dreams, a black shadow ”

[I am having dreams about a shadow who can even stand was that you]

”So our dreams are connected too. What about this weird bracelet? ” As it appeared on his arm again.

[I think, that will help you use my abilities]

”Abilities! ” Vista smiled.
