Fictional peace

For pronouns, she. the cycle of time brings pain as they enter a certain age. It was the same for Lara but for her, it exceeded many folds.

The situation in her house wasn pleasing. Her mother and father always fought among themselves.

Lara walked towards her house remembering the pain her mother suffered. She could experience the same pain as her mother felt as she witnessed his enraged father.

Lara entered her house again. Lara could hear the screams of her mother as she entered the house. The screams sent chills down her spine but still. She entered the room with her legs shaking.

The mother cried as the father slapped her.

Lara collected her courage and stood between them.

”pa to. p ”

Laras father gazed at Lara. The eyes of the devil were less terrifying for her. She didn hate her father but whenever he saw him a wave of fear emerged within her.

Laras mother didn eat for days in the name of fasting, she believed in God that someday he will help them in their situation. Her health started to decline.

The father worked as a labourer but lost his job due to his bad behaviour.

One day he came to pick Lara up from school.

She was happy about it but still couldn look him in the eyes. Lara didn realise that this was her last day of school.

When they reached home he forced Lara to cook something. Lara didn know how to cook. As a kid, she played with the utensils as toys and made something she could and served him.

”Whats this? ”

He threw the food at Lara. Lara started crying.

This enraged the beast within his father. This was the first time Lara experienced the same pain her mother felt physically.

Laras mothers condition worsened day by day. Lara had to leave education and start working at her home. This was the best time for her and also the beginning of her worst. She spent most of her time with her mother, learning household work from her.

Although his father used to beat her, her mother raised her hand only for hugs. One day when Lara woke up in her arms her mother didn wake up.

Lara cried trying to wake her up. This was the first time Laras father took her to a hospital and the last one too.

At her grave, Only Lara and her father stood. Lara cried while her father stood there silently. The silence there intensified Laras screams. The pain in her chest became impossible for her to bear. She even clenched the arms of the beast she feared.

Several days later Lara was forced to shift to an unknown place. It had girls that treated her only as competition and bullied her. She was given a separate room that made her realise her loneliness. This made her impatient and she went to the other girls trying to befriend them. She walked up to a group of girls.

Being straightforward as she was ”Lets be friends ”

The group separated hearing her words. They were discussing their customers. The place was a brothel.

An older female answered her request as politely as she could. ”There are no friends here, we don deserve friends. ”

She was kind to other girls in the hope she would have someone to talk to which resulted in her getting more bullied. During the daytime, she was bullied by the girls and at nighttime forced by other monsters.

She tried to befriend the girls as she saw them hanging out with each other, but they always treated her as an outsider. She was used to beatings but the loneliness and the loss of her mother were too much for her.

She survived the hell by crying and crying. The new world was like heaven for her in comparison to her past life. Hard times make you weak and strong at the same time.

Vista whenever remembered this story of her an image of her smile came along with it and motivated him to survive too.

Vista trained in the cave trying to summon Neros 2nd form.

[Lets go back Oliver will be mad]

”He doesn force me to do any work since he knows that I have no abilities. Its been 2 days already trying to summon you. Am I even progressing ”

”Whats the use without any ability? Lets try something ”

He kicks a rock. A cracked voice comes from his leg.

Vista Looks toward Nero on his shoulder. He tries to walk but isn able to take support from the side of the cave.

[Sometimes its better to be depressed than to be motivated]

Vista uses his bow as a support to reach the base.

Vista goes near the table and sits near Leon.

”What happened to your leg, ” Lara asks Vista. Everyone was worried about him, He was the only one with no abilities and also the one who was out most of the time.

”Nothing interesting ”

[Tell them it is interesting]

”You know 15 guys are going to the tower, ” Sam informs Vista. Vista was the only one who didn know that.

”What tower ”

”Why are you interested? go train in your cave and then behave like a cripple ”Leon grazed at Vista.

”I am not faking it ”

”I can heal you ”

”You aren in the 15 and not because you don have any abilities. Well it was one of the reasons, but still Axel and Nash wanted you to come ”

”I can heal you ” Lara gets ignored again.

”Go and talk to Oliver, he was the one who cancelled you. ”

” I can heal you ”Lara stands up and shouts.

Everyone gazes at Lara. Sam pulls Lara down.

Everyone discussed the tower while Lara healed Vistas leg.

”You thought you will awaken your ability by hurting yourself, I can kick you too if you want to experiment that much ”

A red light starts to appear on Vistas leg as Lara collects nesk.

” You ain interested in their talk ”

”Axel should already have a plan, but Nash and Oliver should be fighting as Oliver tries to make his point. Its always like that ”

”I challenge you to a duel if you win I won be coming to the tower if you lose I will stay here ” Nash screamed at Oliver. Differences in their opinions enraged Nash.

”See told ya ”

”Ok, I accept your challenge ”Everyone screamed as if it was something in their favour. It was the first time they will get to see a battle among themselves.

Everyone moved to the open ground. Vista and Lara stayed as she healed his legs.

”Are you going? ”

”After healing you. ”

”I mean in the tower ”

”Yeah as a healer, I guess ”

Vista tries to walk, taking support from his bow. He doesn feel the need to use his bow and releases it. Vista jerks his leg.

”Its like nothing happened, Thx ”

They went to the ground and joined Leon and Sam standing leaning toward the combatants stopped by a metal fence. The whole crowd gazed, it was their only entertainment after arriving in this new world.

”Come on you, coward ”

Oliver created a bow and started shooting arrows made of water.

Sam: ”What! a perfect match between water and fire. ”

Nash dodged the arrows. Arrows pierced the trees and then deformed to water. She ran towards Oliver and tried to kick him. Oliver dodges her kick and summons his bow again.

Nash summons her swords as Oliver summons his bow. Oliver launches his at Nash with no distance between them. The arrows evaporate as they come in contact with the sword.

Nash sends flames toward Oliver. Oliver glass back, and he uses his bow to block the flames. Oliver ends up getting burnt by the flames.

Vista notices Olivers nesk connected with the splashes of water on the ground and then sees him collecting a large amount of nesk.

”Try to vaporise this one ”

Nash waits for the arrow holding her two swords. As Oliver releases the arrow it converts into multiple ones. Nash slashes some of the arrows but the rest cuts her body.

”Haha, I hope you have your plans for tomorrow ” Nash takes in a nesk and flames from her swords start surrounding her.

Oliver shoots an arrow at her but it doesn reach her, blocked by her flames.

Nash sends waves of flames crawling on the floor moving toward Oliver.

Oliver tries to block it with his bow as he covers it with water and uses it as a shield. But the water disappears as he falls away to the ground.

Nash uses the flames to launch herself toward Oliver with exceeding speed.

Before Oliver could stand up Nash kicks him away. ”The blazes for her sword are also speeding her ”

Everyone cheered for the combatant that they liked but one got the attention of Vista.

”Go, sis ” A girl cheered for Nash.

”Sis ” Vista grazes at Leon.

”Yeah, Nash is lucky she has an old friend and her sis in this hell. ”

”don say Oliver is her old friend ”

Leon nods his head.

Oliver stores nesk as she is punching and kicking him. Nash ravaged Oliver. Nash gets tired and jumps back.

The flames covering Nash disappear.

Oliver waited for this opportunity. Oliver launches an arrow towards the sky. The arrow bursts in the air making the ground wet.

Nash slashes the tiny droplets as they fall on her.

”All you can do squirrel, ” Nash says as she pants

Oliver grins. Vista sees Oliver sending Nesk to water splashes he was connected to.

The water Nash stood on started transforming into arrows all pointing towards her. Astonished by the situation she was in, she took a few steps back and slipped on the water. Nash falls to the ground.

”Give up we want someone alive to take care of the base ”

Nash takes in nesk as she stands up panting and a red blurry lizard appears on her shoulder.

The flames cover Nash again as she starts running towards Oliver.

Oliver launches all the arrows toward Nash. Some Arrows get evaporated from the flames, and some she slashes with her swords.

She gets hurt by some arrows but keeps on moving towards Oliver.

She points her sword at Olivers neck and falls unconscious.

Sophia jumps in between swinging with her vines. ”Sis are you fine? ” Sophia looks at Oliver as she will strike him the next second.

Oliver leaves the place. ”Go back to work, the show is over ”

After some discussion, Everyone goes back to sleep and Vista goes to Sophia. Sophia also decided to stay along with her sister.

Vista asks her about cooking.

”You are good for nothing, no abilities, no skills ”

Vista scratches the back of his head as he hears Sophias words. Vista learns to cook from Sophia. After his lessons, Vista goes to the cave.

The next morning everyone leaves for the tower. Vista wakes up in the cave as the suns rays fall on his face.

He starts training but he isn able to summon Nero completely.

”The last try ”

He connects the pathways to Nero, a shadow appears but he loses consciousness and stops.

”One more, this time it will work ”

After trying for hours.

[Not resting may be the reason for your failure]

”Ok lets explore I have something in my mind ”

He reaches the barrier. Vista sits near the barrier and tries to poke his arrow. He remembers Sam told him that Creatures could go past the barrier.

”Lets try to send you past this barrier. ”

Vista summoned Nero. Nero crosses the barrier.

”Go and explore ”

Vista tries to sense nesk. Vista sees a lot of nesk going in the same direction.

He picks up his bow and goes in that direction.

He sees a tower.

”Thats where they are ? ”

Vista Starts walking towards the entrance.

As he sees through he starts to feel pressure.

The nesk gets denser and the colour red becomes brighter.

[I am back]

Vistas whole body vibrates as he hears Nero.

” Can you be a little less scary than your buddies? They already are doing their job, you don need to help them. ”

[I didn see anything new, but the creatures there were different from ours, the habitat was different. Some creatures were not from my home planet]

”Any humans ”

[No]

[I couldn explore completely the amount of nesk depleted as I moved away from you]

”Next time I will connect more pathways ”

Vista sees someone coming out from the tower.

They were badly injured. The number of people increased. Vista runs toward them.

Leon runs past him before Vista could say anything. Vista goes to Axel.

Oliver supported Sam as he had a hole in his arm. Seeing Vista Sam wipes his tears. They were the last ones to leave the cave.

”Where are you going? ” Sam screams at Vista with the last of her strength. Oliver supports him as he is about to fall.

Vista Runs to the entry. He can only see the creatures dead bodies and a gate that was about to close. Past that gate, he saw someone lying on the floor.

The clothes he sees resemble Laras. Vista stops for a second. Vista rubs his eyes, clearing his vision. Vista notices the gate starting to close. Vista runs towards the gate avoiding the creatures there.

The vision of the body becomes clearer as he runs towards it. He sees the body lying on the floor covered with blood. He sees her clothes torn apart in two pieces along with her body.

The gate closed before he could enter the gate.

The last nesk pathway that the body was connected to disconnects.

Vista reaches the gate. He loses the strength in his legs and falls to the ground laying his head on the Gate.

[This is not a safe place to sit ]

[ Stand up Vista]

[ Stand up]

Vista couldn hear anything that Nero said to him. He remembers the words Lara told to him.

”Are we friends? ”

”Ill always be there for you ”A shadow with a familiar face whispers. Laras voice and the echoes create a web that entangles Vistas thoughts.

A tree lying on the ground starts coming towards Vista. The tree throws a vine flying towards the vista.
