Mu Mingtang really wanted to ask Xie Xuanchen what he meant just now, but she found herself unexpectedly ogling at his charm, making it difficult for her to recall what she wanted to talk about with him.
Lips pursed, she tried to think for a while, but couldn’t.

“I forgot.” Mu Mingtang said to Xie Xuanchen who was waiting for her response.

‘Forgot?’ Xie Xuanchen’s puzzling gaze fell on Mu Mingtang, but he didn’t intend to continue: “Okay, since you have forgotten it, let it be then.” 

Since the conversation about Jinger elixir stopped abruptly, the two continued their walk in the garden.
As it was still the beginning of the spring, many flowers and plants had not yet bloomed, so the garden lacked a bit of life.

The two walked in silence for a while, and Mu Mingtang, who was walking down the steps, suddenly frowned as she stood on the cobblestone path.

Xie Xuanchen asked, “Mingtang, did something happen?”

Mu Mingtang silently sighed.
She didn’t want to go into details, so she merely said, “Those tails follow all the time, it’s so annoying.”

After Mu Mingtang’s words, Xie Xuanchen raised his head and glanced at the back.
He could see that although the maids and guards were some distance away from them, they kept a proper distance enough to not lose sight of the two.

Seeing Prince An and Princess An suddenly stop and whispering to each other, the maid, who looked like the head-maid, stared at them motionlessly.

‘Yes… really annoying.’ Xie Xuanchen silently agreed with Mu Mingtang.

With a slight smile on his lips, Xie Xuanchen whispered: “Since you don’t like it, let’s get rid of them and go for a stroll outside.”

Mu Mingtang was shocked.
“Are you serious?”

“Of course.” Xie Xuanchen stretched out his hand and said, “Come with me.
The place we’re standing at is a bit hidden from them, so it’ll take them a bit of a time to react.
So let’s get rid of them together, shall we?”

An unnoticeable smirk formed on his face at the end of his sentence.

Mu Mingtang glanced back.
The moment she placed her hand in Xie Xuanchen’s, she felt her palm being clenched by a big palm, and then she was pulled away by a powerful force.

All the people tailing behind the two were dumbfounded as they saw Prince An suddenly dragging the princess away.
Who could have thought such a thing would occur?

The maid and guards quickly reacted and gave chase after the two: “My lord! Princess! Please wait…”

Mu Mingtang with Xie Xuanchen ran through the bamboo forest with all her might.
As they bypassed several moon gates, they did not hear any movements behind them.

Mu Mingtang, who was on her last leg, stopped at the middle of the small arched bridge with a heavy panting.
She tried to catch her breath: “No…I…refuse to run anymore…can’t r…un anymore…”

She leaned on the railing of the bridge and panted slowly.
“Are we going to elope?” she sounded out of breath, still huffing and puffing.
