out in anger.

Raising his head, Zhong Mingzhen’s gaze was serenely deep.

Zhong Jianian came back to his senses instantly, “You mean the divorce was brought up by Yinyin?”

Zhong Mingzhen did not answer.

“Why did she suggest a divorce? You agreed when she suggested a divorce?” Zhong Jianian was still in shock.

Zhong Mingzhen was silent for a long while and he still explained, “The marriage was hasty and she was still young then.
Perhaps she is a little tired of it after so many years.”

“What can she be tired of? ! Don’t you know how much she likes you!” Zhong Jianian was simply speechless.

Listening to his words, Zhong Mingzhen paused again.

“Don’t tell me you don’t know again?” Zhong Jianian could not believe it.

Zhong Mingzhen just looked at him.

Zhong Jianian was really angry.
He thought this was something that anyone could see, but as it happened he couldn’t see it!

“Mingzhen, are you blind or stupid ah? The first time Chen Hua’en came to our house, he could see clearly that Yinyin liked you, instead you can’t plainly see it after all these years! Do you know why Chen Hua’en first approached Yinyin to act? That was because he saw the love for you in Yinyin’s eyes!” He was infuriated to death since that was how obvious it was.

Zhong Mingzhen was stunned as he listened.

Chen Hua’en came to the house that year and chose Liang Yin after much consideration.
Yet she hesitated and turned her head to look at him.
He could see her meaning and so he said, if you like it then just go act.
At that time, he could see that she liked acting but beyond that, there was nothing else.

She was young then, and just habitually sought his help …

“Also, why do you think Yinyin wants to act? She did it because of you! At that time, you loved watching movies and would stay in the home theater when you had nothing to do.
Knowing that you liked it, she thought of herself acting in the movies for you to watch! But I doubt you’ve seen it at all!”

Zhong Jianian was utterly agitated, “As long as you have seen it, you ought to surely understand her feelings! Chen Hua’en had said he had filmed a young girl’s unrequited love in it!”

“Ah! I’m really infuriated to death by you! Even a person as stupid as me can see it, but a smart person like you actually are not able to tell … I damn thought that you would have long understood her feelings all these years!”

After Zhong Jianian finished, he apparently didn’t want to say more.
Picking up the hat that he just took off, he walked out in a rage.

Zhong Mingzhen had nothing to say since his youngest uncle’s words had completely made him unable to react.

He never thought Liang Yin would like himself.
He has regarded her as a younger sister and she only treats him as an older brother.
For so many years, she has indeed never talked about it.

But, is she someone who speaks easily?

Zhong Jianian rushed in again and placed the tablet in his hand in front of the table before saying, “Watch it yourself!”

A movie was paused on the screen.
It was Liang Yin’s first film [Where’s Spring], and Zhong Jianian had already dragged the play button on the scroll-bar to the end.

Zhong Mingzhen tapped on it and Liang Yin’s face was revealed.

She was only 17 at that time with a face full of youthfulness.
Sitting sideways on the bow of the boat with two braids, there was a shy smile on her face.

The voice-over asked: Do you like him a lot?

She nodded with a little blush on her face.

The voice-over asked again: Then what are you willing to do for him?

She lowered her head, as if pondering over when she soon looked up again and replied with a smile: I am willing to do anything for him.

The voice-over asked again: Does he know you like him?

She shook her head and dropped her smile.

The voice-over then said: Then why don’t you tell him?

Lowering her head, she was somewhat silent: He has someone he likes.

The voice-over asked again: So how long will you like him?

She hesitated, then looked up and smiled again, which was a determined smile — I will like him until I can’t like him anymore.

The movie ended here, as if it came to an abrupt end but with a long lingering effect.
Holding the tablet, Zhong Mingzhen did not move for a long time.

Zhong Jianian looked at him and said, “These were not script lines.
The filming had completed at that time.
Chen Hua’en saw her sitting by the boat and went over, and then there was this dialogue.
He later thought it was good and put it at the end of the movie.

After a pause, he then said, “You should be able to see who she was talking about.”

Zhong Mingzhen didn’t speak.
He no longer knew what else to say.

He did like watching movies at that time, yet he really had never before watched a movie of hers.

“It was also precisely because of you that she gave up acting later! You don’t even know how much she likes acting afterwards, but in order to marry you, she just stopped acting as she said so and just retired from acting.
You know she was already the Film Empress at that time! Less than half of her lifetime, she has lived and died for you, yet you don’t even realize it!” Zhong Jianian wished the iron could turn straight into steel.

Zhong Mingzhen did not respond.

Zhong Jianian left again soon after.
Zhong Mingzhen dragged the scroll-bar to watch it again and it happened to stop at the last two sentences.

— So how long will you like him?

—  I will like him until I can’t like him anymore.

Zhong Mingzhen felt a sudden pain which gradually spread all over his body.

The marriage certificate that was tossed aside on the table happened to have flipped open revealing the picture of them together.

On it, his expression was indifferent while she, however, was smiling sweetly.

Not knowing how long later, Zhong Mingzhen finally picked up his cellphone and dialed Zhong Jianian’s number.

“If Yinyin likes to act, you just invest for her in the future.”

His voice was inexplicably hoarse.

She eventually still didn’t take what he gave her.
