Seeing Reynards hollow face, the woman felt sorry for him. ”You must miss them a lot, right? ”

Reynard glared sharply at Dennis for giving such a lame excuse, then his eyes settled on the womans belly, and he relaxed.

”I am so sorry for your loss, ” The woman looked pitifully at Reynard. I understand how you must feel because I can imagine what I would do if l suddenly lose her. ” The woman gestured at her belly with a smile dancing on her face.

She patted her belly gently proudly and smiled again. ”She is my life. ”

He didn like the way the woman was touching his mate with so much love in her eyes.

Anyone could tell from the way Reynard carried himself that he was royalty. Anyone could tell that he was someone from a high status and Freya wouldn want to offend someone like that.

When the arrived at the shabby neighborhood, Dennis grimaced. ”Is this where you live? ”

Reynard knew that Freya would refuse if he offered to gift her a new house. That might even make her fear him, since the woman seem to like it there in the slums.

He couldn take her against her will, so the baby doesn get affected. He couldn insist on taking her away either because that would sound preposterous, after all they only just met.

Furthermore, he knew she wouldn agree to his demands, especially because they weren acquainted. Likewise, he wouldn want to scare her away by being domineering, neither could he compel her with his power because he didn know the effect that would have on the baby.
