Hearing the words ladened with various muddled emotions, I smiled bitterly.

Hearing her seemingly anxious tone of voice, though it was somewhat filled with conviction, I blinked in surprise and then laughter spilled from my lips.

The sullen look on my face completely disappearing, and me bowled over in laughter must’ve been extremely ominous.

The woman took a step back.

I stepped forward and approached her until I was close enough to touch her.

The woman who had never been in combat before was not even able to react as her hand was seized by me.

「Aah, you humans are truly amusing.

I put my hand into my pocket, and took out what was inside.

Clutched in my hand was a small stone.

The hysterically screaming woman swung her arm in my grip, trying to escape, but my arm did not move an inch.

I tilted my head to the side and held the small stone in front of my eyes.

So that it could be seen better.

「Here, look carefully.
This is the woman you’ve been searching for.」

The woman’s movements suddenly stopped.

The woman’s lips were trembling.

「The value of you humans is truly surprisingly low.

There was no point even if I had these things.

Really, the humans were truly pitiful. 

My skill『Conversion』could exchange things with something with equivalent value.

Or perhaps I should say, because I was not the one who judged the value, I could only exchange it.

As a test, I had tried to exchange the most important person, but they only became a jewel.
