Reincarnated The Blind and Deaf Boy

A Wolf In Sheep\'s Clothing (7)

Well… I can say I don like it.

There was something about these three sets of outfits, it was almost like they were made for just this instance. I mean, not only does these special sets of gear just so happen to fit us three exceptionally well, but they each seem to be tailored with a specific role in mind.

Aria gave me no time to think about this though, as she turned his wide eyes up towards me and asked, ”So so, I did good! I picked out pretty outfits, yeah? ”

Urgh… this form of manipulation must be illegal somewhere…

”Yes yes, Id say these are pretty comfy aye, Eric? ” I praised her with a soft smile while ruffling her little golden curls.

Eric, however, seemed to be quite distracted with something as he replied half-assedly, ”Hmm.. oh yeah yeah, nice job Aria. ”

The Inn was really quite a treat to look at. Even a simple room such as this one had many intricate little carvings all around the room, although theres no telling if they were all the work of the craftsmen of the inn or the many people that had passed through here. It wouldn be too surprising that a city in this location would have adventurers frequent their inns, and with adventurers come artists and bards. Not only were the walls of the building lively, the lobby and tavern of the inn is often times filled with the sounds of bards retelling their favorite heroic tales to those that happen to pass them by.

”Eric! What
e up to man? ” I questioned Erics absentminded response as a sat myself on the edge of a bed.

”Wha- Oh sorry guys, I was just trying to figure out this map I got from some drunk bard at this inns tavern, ” Eric turned around from the desk in the corner of the room and turned to face the two of us, ”Despite the… uh.. puke encrusted into his beard, and his inability to form sentences longer than 4 words, he was pretty helpful! ”

”Oh really… Im guessing you weren just planning a sight-seeing trip, so have you found out where we are supposed to be headed? ” Aria ended up climbing up onto the bed I was sitting on, before stretching out and laying on her back while listening in on the conversation.

”Mhm, I was getting there. Ive worked out how to get to the academy and just about how long, so we actually might have some time to sight-see on the way. I don exactly care, but… ”

”I do! I do! ” Aria squealed, clearly excited by the thought, ”Maybe we can find some tasty sweets, we never really had many back at… the church… ”

A knowing silencing fell onto the room before I stood up, ”Well, thats it then! Tomorrow morning well go out, get some sweets, and enjoy ourselves on the way to our destination! ”

”Its… Its a m-miracle… this must be divine intervention, what else could make my taste buds dance like this! SUGARRRR!!!! ”

Perhaps sugar was the last thing Aria was in need of, it would not be wrong to assume she was an addict. From the moment she bit into that cherry filled pastry she has been… energetic, if not manic. Well, I guess its better than how Ruto responded. I think he spent all of the energy in his body in mere seconds after eating his.

”Hey! Hey! Eric!!! Lets go now! And um… I guess youll have to carry Ruto! ”

I can not describe the looks we received. I want to die. Now.

A slight movement chased the darkness away from my vision, allowing me to look up at an unfamiliar ceiling, one that was much higher than even the churchs. I was greeted by an out of tune symphony of hundreds of ear piercing voices. As I started to sit-up, I realized the voices belonged to a large group of people around the same age as me. I had been laying in the middle of a very large room, probably meant to fit up to 1,000 people, although there were only about 400 people, some the height of teenagers, and others just barely above the height of the average toddler. About 7 or 8 meters ahead of me is a decently sized platform, which is about 1 meter up from the floor Im currently sitting on. Most of the platform was kept from view by a large white curtain, which would probably be hiding a few props or people if there was a play going on.

Am I in a school auditorium now? I swear I was just biting into a little pastry… I tried to make sense of how I had gotten here, but to no avail.

As if someone knew I was confused about where I was, a familiar high-pitched voice called out to me as it moved closer.

Soon the voices waving tail soon came into view, and before I knew Aria was flying into me before she said, ”Ruto, you
e finally awake! We got scared after you suddenly collapsed like that… so we took you to the school! We don know anyone, so this was the best we could do… I was so worried about you… ”

”Eh, the teachers said youd be fine, ” Eric said calmly, as he came up from behind where Aria eas previously standing before she had given in to her cute and childish tendencies…

”Wait, did we miss the orientation? ” As I was still patting Asunas head, and rubbing her soft cat ears, I got worried, as we may have been late because of me…

”Hm? Oh, nah, the Principal is late, so we haven really missed anything. Apparently they saw a child using spatial-magic, and wanted to scout them for the school, but lost track of them… ” Erin, though a little nervous that the Principal had seen me, assured me that we haven missed anything, which took a big weight off of my shoulders.

Hehe, that just means I can spend more time cuddling with this little cutie, I thought to myself, as I looked at Asuna with mischief in my eyes.

[10 Minutes Later]

I feel like Im forgetting something… I thought to myself as Asuna slipped out of my arms, and we both got on our feet to stand next to Erin.

[10 More Minutes Later]

The sound of heels rang out in the room, the sounds of bickering children finally quieting down. Everyone could tell that this was it, this was someone we had to listen to. Suddenly, the lights cut out, making Aria let out a squeak. The only thing that we could see in the Auditorium was a mesmerizing white glow coming from the stage. If you looked closely enough, the glowing was coming from a floating crystal-like shard, about the size of an adult hand, in the middle of the stage. The glow from the crystal grew, as it allowed us the see the person standing on the stage.

”Hello! My name is Tyr Brëgner, a retired adventurer, as well as the head-principal and advanced magic theory instructor of this school. ” A feminine voice sounded from the stage, as a small line of text appeared above her head, [Tyr Brëgner (Nickname: Tear Bringer) Lv. ???].
