”Shh… ” Damien whispered and continued, ”Remember that everything I do for you is not something you should thank me for. It is only natural I should do these things for my woman. And I would feel more at ease if I can make you as strong as possible. I wouldn ’t even mind if you got way stronger than me, haha. ” Damien said in a loving tone.

Lily ’s heart stirred hearing his words as she looked into his eyes ardently, ”Damien…I know you did all these things because you would be leaving soon. But no matter how long it takes, I will wait for you always. I am already yours and always will be. ” Lily said as she went in for a deep and affectionate kiss.

The fact that Damien would be leaving for the Xeton Empire soon had never left Lily ’s mind, and she was constantly feeling anxious about it. Other than the dangers of going to a foreign and powerful empire, Lily didn ’t want to be away from Damien for even a day.

But she didn ’t complain as she didn ’t want to be a bother to him and most of all she knew he was going there to help her.

Lily smiled and said in a concerned tone, ”I know. But the Xeton Empire is not simple, and they are not dignified as they seem. I am worried whether you will be alright in such a— ”

Damien interjected, ”Everything ’s going to be fine, trust me. They won ’t even suspect a thing. And I promise to take revenge for your father ’s death. They will all pay for what they have done. ” Damien said as his tone became grim towards the end.

Lily ’s heart reeled hearing Damien ’s words as complex emotions flashed through her eyes, thinking about her long dead father.

Lily ’s eyes became moist as she said in a worried tone, ”No…no need to think about taking revenge for me. All I want is you to come back safely. That ’s all that matters to me now. I can ’t lose you too, else I won ’t be able to live anymore then. ” Her voice became shaky towards the end.

”Hey, don ’t say things like that…you must know by now the things I could do. Heck, even with my current cultivation, I have a Peak Level Sky Ethereal Realm beast to do my bidding.
