Even though there were guards, they couldn ’t seem to detect the aura of the figure, nor did the barrier seem to block them.

Even with a cloak on, one could see that the person wearing it was not that tall, nor did they have a big body frame.

The cloaked figure soon sneaked its way around the mansion until they reached an open window as if the owner of the room was inviting someone to jump through it.

Without any hesitation, the cloaked figure jumped inside through the window big enough to fit a person.

”Finally…took you long enough to get your ass here… ” A darkened voice sounded in the dim room. Because of the nightlight, it was barely enough to reveal the owner of the voice sitting on the bed with a black cloak completely covering their body, including their face.

The cloaked figure who jumped in through the window kneeled apologetically and removed their hood to reveal a pretty girl. But her eyes carried a different look that didn ’t seem to match with her age or appearance.

She spoke emotionlessly, ”Forgive me, young miss Dennisa. Next time I won ’t be late, ” She decided not to tell the real reason since it would only further antagonize the person in front of her.

”Whatever, but do you know why I summoned you, the infamous Veiled Mamba, especially in secret? ” Dennisa questioned, her tone still sounding moody and dull.
