All other living beings would subconsciously have restraints on their strength or power when fighting another person, mainly due to the fear of death. Thus unless in exceptional cases, they would never be truly using 100% of their combat prowess.

Damien quickly reached the spot where the Horrowclaw died and quickly took it into his soul space and sent a wisp of his soul energy to its soul plane to prevent its soul from dissipating away.

His soul energy began to deplete at a rapid pace since it was a Heaven Ethereal Realm beast, and there was only so much time he could use to hold down its soul.
