”Cough..cough… ” Damien coughed out some blood, to which Nathasia could only tighten her fists, knowing that she can ’t stop him from doing whatever he came to do here, no matter how injured he was.

She could understand him, considering how badly she wanted Bella dead, only to find out that she had already died when Damien brought down the place she was kept in.

After standing up, Damien shrugged her hand off and gave her a strange look, to which Nathasia had no idea why he was looking at her like that, and lowered her head, wondering if she did something wrong.

”Well done, ” Damien said in an impassive tone as he turned around and limped forward.

Nathasia ’s eyes brightened up as she raised her head and looked at his back, wondering if she heard him right.

She felt a sense of disbelief hearing him compliment her, but at the same time, she felt very happy, knowing that he finally acknowledged her efforts and did not see her as completely useless.

But seeing him already walking towards the large door ahead, Nathasia took in a deep breath as she quickly picked up her pistol lying on the ground and followed him.

Damien knew that Deathclaw was the only Ascended one in this mansion since otherwise, he would have got attacked by other Ascenders by now.

However, just as he reached the door, he looked at Nathasia and asked, ”Tell me how many are inside. ”

Nathasia nodded and placed her hand on the door as she closed her eyes, ”I think there are six people. Three of them are sitting on the bed while three of them seem to be standing close to the door. ”

”Good. Kill the ones who are standing through the door, ” Damien firmly said.

”Kill? I…okay… ” Nathasia ’s hand began to tremble again even though she had just killed some guards before.

She still had difficulty coming to terms with the fact that she had already killed people, which was something unimaginable to her before.
