Chapter 8 (Andrews POV)

I woke up too soon.

I could feel it in all my muscles. And it was not bright enough for my day to start either.

But someone was screaming in my house.

No scratching that. I knew who that someone was.

It was Shawna the she devil. The one that wanted to trap me with her pregnancy.

Until she didn start showing and I went with her to her OB GYN, I didn even believe her and her hysterical pleas.

But it turned out she really was pregnant. With my little monster Amy. And that girl was my whole world.

But me and Shawna were still only friends. Sometimes even that was a hard thing to feel towards her. Especially since she loved parties and sleeping around more than her daughter. And I was getting to the point where I would start despising her for her behaviour.

But right now, I had no idea what she was doing in my house screaming.

Then it dawned on me.

F**k! Vicky!

I sat up so fast my vision went blurry for a second, but once it came back to focus, I realized there was no one beside me in my bed.

So that must be the reason why Shawna was screaming.

I jumped from bed to find my clothes because I didn want Shawna to scare away a brilliant woman like Vicky with her craziness.

As soon as I got some shorts and a T-shirt on me, I started towards my living room.

But Vickys angry voice stopped me in the doorway just outside of the living room.

”THATS ENOUGH! ”

I could see she shocked Shawna, because she was just staring at her with mouth hanging open. She was definitely not used to someone standing up to her. You could say that she was a bully. Used to putting down others so she could feel better. I was still wondering what I even saw in her. But I had no time to think about such things because my little spit-fire continued to put her in her place. She was shooting daggers at Shawna and what made her even more irresistible was the fact she was only wearing my T-shirt that only reached her upper tights. She was a vision out of any mans wet dreams.

”You are here yelling at me, but you don have even an ounce of motherly instinct to realize your own daughter was getting scared of you! What is wrong with you woman? Wait till Andrew wakes up and we can have this conversation outside. Alone! Because I won stay by and just look how a little girl gets scared for life by her own mother! ”

I looked at my baby girl at that moment and saw that she was indeed shaking in fear from her mothers shouting. My fingers were tightening into fists in seconds and my teeth were grinding together so hard Im surprised I didn break a few. I was boiling with rage at the sight in front of me. But Vicky continued and I once more fixed my gaze on her. She really was amazing and she spoke exactly the things I wanted to tell Shawna so many times, but I was afraid she would take my little girl away from me.

”Since you lost your ability to speak, Ill tell you my part now. Im here on vacation actually and me and Andrew have known one another for quite some time now, not that its any of your business. Yes, I slept with him, which is also none of your business, since I know that you are not his girlfriend, but I do know you tried to trap him with that little innocent girl in your arms. I can see how that must hurt when you realize your plan didn work, but guess what? GET OVER YOURSELF AND TRY TO BE A GOOD MOTHER IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO BE A DECENT PERSON! ”

I could feel pride swell in my chest. She was perfect.

I couldn help it. A grìn stretched my lips and I started clapping.

All three pairs of eyes focused on me at that moment.

First to break the silence was Amys shriek of joy when she saw me.

”Da-da! ”

”Hey baby girl. Missed me? ” I approached her mother and took her from her arms. Settling my baby girl on my hip while she blubbered her gibberish words at me. I couldn help but laugh when I saw she was her happy self again and not an ounce of freight on her cute face.

Then I suddenly almost fell. I caught my balance at the last second.

Before me was hysterical Shawna.

”Ah, Andrew, thank God you woke up. That b***h was insulting me and trying to throw me out. How could you let such a horrible person get even close to little Amy? She was so scared because of her yelling! ”

I couldn stop my eyes from rolling even if I tried.

Such a drama queen.

”Save it, Shawna. Ive heard it all, so no point in lying. And my little girl was scared of you, and thats obvious even now, looking at how she is trying to get away from you. And Vicky told you what Ive been wanting to tell you for months. Now, since Im sure you just came by to drop Amy off because you have a party again, I suggest you walk out of my house before you lose the rest of your pride. And don let the door hit you in the a*s on your way out. ”
