It has been a month since I heard about the engagement with the Holy Maiden from the King.
As for what I’ve been doing this past month, at any rate, I was training.

In the morning, I get beaten to a pulp at Shishou’s, listen to lectures even while being half-asleep, and during combat training, I have mock battles with everybody on my team and Cait’s team.

Although we were initially doing 1vs1, there’s not enough time so with matches of me vs the team, me vs 7 other people, and so forth, we conducted irregular mock battles and stuff.

And then it’s training with Shishou again when school is over.
This is completely different from the morning’s training, it’s a serious match.
Since Shishou hits me with her serious killing intent, I use Lightning Heavenly Garment to go up against her so that I don’t lose.
Using this magic, I’m finally able to go up against Shishou so, as I thought, Shishou is outrageous.

A month passed in the blink of an eye with this and that happening.
Right now, I’ve come to the Royal Castle for departure.
As for where I’m going, it’s of course, Arcadia State.
The objective is to meet with the Holy Maiden.

It’s about 2 weeks on a carriage for a one-way trip from the Royal Capital to Arcadia State’s capital.
It’s a distance that’d take a month to just make a round trip.
And my sojourn over there is about a month.

I’ve had thoughts about whether it’s fine for a student to leave his schoolwork for that long but, the academy’s on summer break.
Being laughed at a whole lot by Alexia when I asked her because I didn’t know anything about it, was embarrassing.

It seems the schedule for the academy’s first year is, enrolment on the 4th month and summer vacation for two months from the 7th month until the end of the 8th month.
And then from the 9th month until the end of the 11th month, there are events like the class year competition and such.
I still don’t know in detail about this though.
And then from the start of the 12th month to about the middle of the 1st month, this time, it seems there’s a winter vacation, and it seems from the middle of the 1st month when the winter vacation ends until the 3rd month, graduates take their graduation examination and the other students return to their usual lessons.

When I ask Alexia why is the vacation so long, it’s apparently for the rural areas’ nobles’ sake.
Indeed, if it’s a location like mine, the vacation would end with just a round trip if it’s too short.

And because it’s that summer vacation from today onwards, it ended up with me utilizing my summer vacation to go and meet her.
Rather, the King has already told the Pope that I will go and meet her during my summer vacation.

Well, it might be better than taking a break from the academy though.
As I’m thinking about such things,

“What are you making a serious look for! It’s our long-awaited trip so let’s have fun going!”

Dargris says and hits my shoulder.
Yeah, this fellow is also coming along on this time’s trip.
To be accurate, it’s everybody on my team and everybody on Cait’s team.

I talked about me going to the Arcadia State when a conversation we had previously turned into ‘what are we going to do during this summer vacation’, and it ended up with everybody coming along with me.

I asked if everybody is not going back to their hometown and it seems, Dargris and Rene, Birdon, and Shizuku had no intention of returning to begin with since they’ll just be made to help out around the house, and had planned to earn money at the guild.
Cait and Emma say that their houses are in the Royal Capital to begin with so it’s like they’re going back every day, Ely lives by herself so she planned to go to the guild during this summer vacation like Dargris and the others.

Putting this conversation aside for the time being, when I talk about this to the King

“If that is the case, I shall pay for all the travel expenses and so forth.
We had those plans to begin with anyway, you can go ahead and have fun with your friends”

he told me.
Hence, I took him up on that and accepted it.
But, I didn’t tell anybody who paid for it.
I only told everybody to just bring their luggage and to gather before the Royal Castle.

“Myー, still, how generous it is to provide for us a carriage all the way to the Arcadia State! I’m looking forward to it!”

“Geez, Dargris.
Don’t frolic too much and get lost over there.
If you do, I’ll leave you and go home!”

“Oi oi, that’s the part where you look for me”

Leaving the two of them who are performing a married-couple gag behind, they’re still not here yet? As I’m waiting for some people

“Lei, what’s wrong?”

Ely asks me.
Although Ely’s pretty much expressionless, I’m able to tell the slight changes in her expression recently.
Right now, she’s giving off the excited vibe.
As I thought, she’s looking forward to going on a trip with everybody huh.

“It’s nothing, just that not everybody’s here yet”

Ely looks around and tilts her head when I say that.
Although everybody in the academy has assembled, the other members haven’t yet.
And, over there

“Sorry, Lei! Did I keep you waiting?”

the ones who came from the Royal Castle are, Alexia along with Ferris, and Helen-san along with Aerith.
Alexia and Ferris who heard about the Holy Maiden from the King say that they will naturally go as well, and on top of that, they also talked about it to Helen-san and Aerith.
Having done that, it ended up both of them saying that they’ll definitely go as well.

Dargris and the others fell silent from being overly surprised by the sudden appearance of Alexia and the others.
And then, Dargris and Cait place their hands on my shoulder.
What.

“Wha, wha, wha, what is this about! Why is Alexia-sensei and Helen-sensei, Vice President Aerith along with Ferris-senpai here! Spit it! Spit it out!”

“Yeah! What’s this about! You betrayed us huh!”

……You guys are noisy.
Furthermore, what’s with the ‘betrayed’.

“……I kept quiet about it from everybody but, the truth is”

“I’m, engaged to Alexia and Ferris”

“”HAAAAA!?””

Dargris and Cait who were surprised by what I said suddenly shouted out.
Right by my ear, how noisy.

“Wha, what, what’s wrong?”

“Rene! It’s terrible! We were betrayed by Lei!”

“Yeah! You traitor!”

Who the hell’s the traitor.
What the hell did I betray.
Don’t make me beat you up, you rascals.
As they’re making a racket like this,

“Fufufu, Lei-kun’s friends are lively huh”

the one who came accompanied by a maid from the Royal Castle was, Carey-sama.

“Oh, Car……Hahaue.
What is the matter?”

“Geez, how distant.
It’s fine even if you are more intimate with me.
Well, I’m seeing Lei-kun and the others off today.
It’s actually planned for Raymond to come but official business came in and he can’t come so I came in his stead”

Like that, we departed towards Arcadia State while being seen off by Carey-sama.
While suffering Dargris and Cait’s resentment.
Don’t make me expose it to Rene and Emma, you rascals.

ーDemon Country Tempestー

I enter the training ground and over there, there were a lot of collapsed soldiers.
I think it’s overdoing it a little though.
And then

“How is your condition, Gilgas”

I talk to the Demon Race man who stands at the centre of the training ground.
The name of the man at the centre is Gilgas.
One of the Seven Demon Generals who awoken some time ago.

“Azel huh.
So-so.
It’s about less than half of my normal condition”

Well, I guess that’s how it is.

“That cannot be helped.
It won’t return for nearly a year after removing the seal.
I also just finally returned to normal”

I guess I was about 70 per cent when I encountered that boy.

“I see.
Well, that’s fine.
The others still won’t wake up, right? I’ll go play for a bit after my real power comes back a little bit more”

“Where to?”

“Arcadia State where the Holy Maiden or whatever is”

If it is this person then it feels like he might be able to kill her though.
I wonder how it’ll turn out.
