As Skyleane said before going she returned by afternoon. While having their lunch Skyleane talked about the mission she did today.

She talked about how she along with her team raided a Kobolds dungeon. It was tiring but thanks to her team leader they all successfully cleared it without getting injured. As a result they got a bountiful reward from the adventure guild.

Skyleane also told James that if not for the team leader taking her to the goblins dungeon to train that day she wouldn have found James.

James hearing the mention of adventure guild from Skyleane couldn contain his curiosity and got to know that this world was filled with monsters of all kinds. The goblins which welcomed him in this world were only one of them.

In order to maintain the balance in this world humans discovered a way to get powerful in order to fight these monsters. The way doing that was to activate their status windows at the nearest adventure guild.

The adventure guild was an organisation responsible for the containment of the monster activities. It was a very big organization with its branches spreading all across the human settlements here.

When James asked about the status Skyleane told him that it was like a transparent screen that would appear in front of the user at will. The stats of the users would be shown in it along with a boost ability. Depending upon what your boost ability is your pace of getting stronger will vary.

”My boost ability is archery so if I increase my proficiency in that area my all other attributes would increase at a much faster rate than when I train them separately. ” Skyleane said.

James nodded hearing that. He was still confused but he knew that with time he would grow familiar with how things happen here. It would be much easier than asking everything now and then forgetting it later only to ask Skyleane about them again in the future.

Soon he grew tired. It must be because his body was doing it all to heal his wounds as he had already slept a bit when he Skyleane was away.

Skyleane caught on that and said ” Lets take you to sleep. Ill also use this opportunity to read you one of my favourite books. ”

James was soon taken by Skyleane to the bed. After laying him down Skyleane brought a book from the shelf in the room and sat next to him while reading it.

James having nothing to do decided to hear it. The story was interesting than he had thought as a result his sleep went away and now it was Skyleanes turn to grow tired.

*Yawn*

Sleepiness was written clear on her face but she still continued reading the story to James but alas. The comfort of the bed forced her body to fall asleep.

Skyleane was now lying at the side of James while holding the book in her hands. James found her adorable. He gently took the book from her and placed it on the table before covering Skyleane in his blanket.

She must have planned to sleep on the couch in the living room because their were no bed other than this one in the house. So James deliberately didn told her to rest when he saw that she was sleepy. She would have definitely went to the couch in order to not trouble him.

James gazed at the sleeping Skyleane whose face was just in front of him as she breathed slowly. He couldn help but smile looking at her. The sounds of her delicate breathing were like a lullaby to his ears as he also slowly fell asleep.
