There was no sign of the tail, pearl, or the beast to who the tail belonged to, but he could feel a threatening presence lurking.

’ ’Fhhhhhhhhhhhh… ’ ’ A chill ran through his spine as he heard a sound of unnatural sounding breathing in the darkness. Even his hair started fluttering from the single breath; he couldn ’t imagine what would happen if he got attacked.

A tinge of regret started sprouting on his mind, but he quickly shook it off.

He wanted to find the pearl as soon as possible and get out of this place, but in this dark place, it was easier said than done.

He tried to start moving, but when he did, he noticed how unstable the ground was and very… Spiky.
