Chapter 1132 – Across The Table

Lu Lijun ’s action startled Jiang Yuyan as she thought he was in a deep sleep, but she was mistaken.
She tried to pull her hand out of his hold.
He still had his eyes closed but didn ’t let go of her hand.

He moved her hand to his head as if asking her to pat and c.a.r.e.s.s it.
Her hand frozen, she looked at the sleepy guy in disbelief to think how childish he was acting and then heard the same thing from him.

”Think of me as the same kid, ” Lu Lijun spoke in his sleepy, lazy, and hoarse voice.
He didn ’t open his eyes to even look at her but could sense her and her thoughts.

He let her hand rest on his head as if asking her to start it already, not letting it go.
”It hurts! ” he spoke in a shallow, muffled voice and moved her hand to his forehead.

His forehead seemed on the warmer side.
’Is it fever? ’ Jiang Yuyan thought and touched her own forehead to check the temperature.
’Doesn ’t seem like it.
Must be because he didn ’t sleep. ’ she concluded.

”Leave my hand, ” she said calmly.

”You will go away, ” he spoke again, still in a deep sleep.

”I won ’t, ” she said, trying to be as believable as she could, but Lu Lijun didn ’t listen.

Frowning, she looked at the switchboard next to the headrest of the bed and stretched her free hand to turn the lights off.

She arranged a pillow for herself at the headrest so she could sit comfortably, knowing this guy wouldn ’t let her go easily, so it ’s better to be comfortable.

She sat leaning back at the headboard while her hand started to c.a.r.e.s.s Lu Lijun ’s head.

Lu Lijun sensed it and let her hand free.

It was just like in the past when he used to sleep next to her, and she had to continue patting his head until he fell asleep while she continued to stare blankly at the wall opposite to her.

After a while, she looked at him and thought he was finally sleeping and decided to get up from the bed, but it was not that easy.

Just as the thought popped up in her mind and she could move even an inch, the strong arm surrounded her stomach, not to let her move.

She held his arm and tried to lift it, but he gripped even tighter.
So finally, she gave up and continued to sit there while staring at the wall.
It was already late and only a few hours left for the sun to come out, so she preferred to let him sleep.

Jiang Yuyan fell asleep while sitting in the same position.

Thank god she was out of her room already.

”Young Mistress, Breakfast is ready, ” the butler informed.

She went downstairs, where everyone was waiting for her.
Lu Lijun ’s chair was empty, so Elder Lu asked.
”Isn ’t Lu Lijun back? ”

Jiang Yuyan felt her heart beating faster but couldn ’t come up to say Lu Lijun was back.
If she said it, her mother-in-law will send someone to check his room or might go personally to check on him.

What would happen when Lu Lijun wouldn ’t be in his own room despite returning home? What if later Niang Jiahui asks him where he was, and he would answer that he slept in her room or might say in his wife ’s room? So many thoughts at the same time made her brain chaotic.

”He was supposed to be back in the night, ” Ning Jiahui replied to elder Lu and looked at the butler, ”Isn ’t he back? ”

”Fourth young master returned late at night.
He is still sleeping.
Must be tired a lot, ” the butler replied.

”Let him sleep then, ” elder Lu commented and started the breakfast.

Jiang Yuyan, who felt her breath was stuck in her c.h.e.s.t, could finally exhale it out.
’I need to stop him from coming to my room. ’ This was all she could think all the time, but that stubborn guy had new ways to trouble her all the time.

After breakfast, Jiang Yuyan was ready to leave for the office, and she didn ’t wish to return to her room for anything.
However, just then, she heard something.

”Where are you going? ” the butler asked the servant who had some cleaning tools in her hand.

”To clean the young mistress ’s room, ” the servant replied.

”For now, you can continue in the guest rooms.
They have yet to be cleaned properly, ” the butler instructed.

The servant listened to him and went towards the guest ’s rooms on the ground floor.
Jiang Yuyan felt relieved and thought if the butler already knew Lu Lijun was in her room.
Well, she was his boss, so he should do whatever was better in his boss ’s interest, just like Xiao Min and San Zemin did.
But San Zemin and Xiao Min didn ’t know as much as this butler knew about everything.

Feeling relieved and leaving things on the butler to handle, Jiang Yuyan went to the office.

Lu Lijun came to the office an hour late.
Though he didn ’t plan to, the tiredness didn ’t let him get up.
Moreover, he was in his wife ’s bed, so he didn ’t wish to leave it so soon.

Lu Lijun straightway went to Jiang Yuyan ’s office, where Xiao Min just stepped out and bowed to the fourth young master.

With a slight nod, Lu Lijun entered Jiang Yuyan ’s office.
She looked at him but didn ’t know what to say exactly.

”I was forced to do so, ” she said coldly and resumed her work.

”But I didn ’t force you to act cute early morning, ” he said.

It surprised her, and she looked at him to know what he meant.

”You woke up and were careful with your all movements not to make any noise so it won ’t disturb my sleep, ” he answered her unspoken question.

I just didn ’t want you to annoy me early morning….. ”

”My eyes were closed, but I could sense your movement, ” he said to interrupt her.
”You woke up, locked the door, went to have a shower; I could hear the sound of water flowing; you got ready and left.
Everything just made me feel like, finally, I ’m with my wife.
It felt nice, ” he replied.

Jiang Yuyan had nothing to say about it.

”You are late for work.
Don ’t waste any more time now, ” said the cold President Lu.

Lu Lijun nodded and was about to leave but stopped and she looked at him.

”Once work hours are over, I won ’t be standing across the table, ” he commented and left leaving the cold woman flabbergasted.

She greeted her teeth and thought, ’You just cross it and I ’ll break your legs. ’ But then again the reality struck her mind.
’I can ’t hurt him. ’ She again felt like pulling her hair out, not having any other way to deal with him.
