Chapter 393: Afraid Of The Dark…

A servant came with food for Lu Lijun.
Receiving it, Lu Feng asked a servant to leave and took it to the coffee table.

In a while, Lu Lijun came out of the bathroom, He changed into new clothes and looked relaxed but he was still avoiding to look at his brothers.

“You must be starving.
Food is here so let's eat first.” Lu Qiang said as showing everything was fine and he had nothing to ask Lu Lijun.
Lu Lijun nodded.

Lu Feng uncovered the food and went to the couch to sit there.
He didn't want to make Lu Lijun feel surrounded by his brothers being ready to enquire about the incident and wanted him to feel relaxed while eating.

Lu Qiang and Lu Lijun went to the coffee table and sat there in the chairs.
Lu Qiang started to serve the food while Lu Lijun was silent and looking at the table with his sight lowered down.

Passing him the spoon, Lu Qiang said, “Eat slowly.” Lu Lijun accepted the spoon and started to eat the dumpling soup. 

The atmosphere is the room was dead silent as no one was saying anything.
Lu Qiang was busy serving food to Li Lijun while Lu Feng was going through his mobile while peeking a glance towards the coffee table in between.

Although, Lu Lijun was silent but so many things were running in his mind.
He knew his brothers were not asking him anything but soon he had to tell them what happened.
They were being considerate towards him as always and waiting for him to say something.

Once Lu Lijun finished his food, a servant came and cleared the table.
Lu Lijun went back to the bed as it was still dark and the sun was about to show up.
Instead of sleeping, he sat in a bed and looked at his brothers, Lu Feng was sitting on the couch and Lu Qiang was coming to the bed.

As Lu Qiang was about to get a quilt on Lu Lijun's legs, he called him, “Elder Brother!”

Lu Qiang looked at him so he said again, “I am sorry to trouble both you last night.” He had guilty expressions on his face.

Lu Feng and Lu Qiang both were expecting it from him that's why no one talked about it as he might feel guilty.
Sitting on the edge of the bed, Lu Qiang spoke, “Actually we are sorry that we left you alone and couldn't look after our little brother.”

Lu Feng stood up from the sofa and went to bed too.
Sitting on his either side, Lu Feng said while looking at Lu Lijun, “Nothing can be trouble whenever it is about our little brother.” 

Lu Qiang agreed to it and asked, “Would you like to tell us what happened there?”

Lu Lijun nodded and said, “Sister Lu Bao said that brother Lu Qiang is in the outhouse and needs my help.
She asked me to hurry up saying you are hurt too.
Hearing you are hurt, my brain couldn't think that it was a prank and without thinking I ran towards the outhouse as I was worried for you.”

“When I went there, it was already dark and I thought you must be injured and stuck inside.
I searched for you there but couldn't find you.
Suddenly a scary face showed up and I ran inside of  one room to hide.”

His voice lowered down further and he continued hesitantly, “And….you…
know how much…
dark…
was there and I am….” Lu Lijun couldn't continue and stopped.
He looked embarrassed.

“Afraid of the dark.” Lu Qiang continued Lu Lijun's line. 

Both brothers understood exactly what might have happened.
They were aware of the fact that Lu Lijun was afraid of the dark.
Both the brothers felt sad to hear it and they didn't say anything as there was a reason behind why Lu Lijun was afraid of the dark and why he was so traumatized to have a nightmare after so many years, suddenly.

“It's okay.
Nothing to be ashamed of it because everyone is afraid of something,” Lu Feng said calmly and Lu Qiang nodded.

“I will try to be strong,” Lu Lijun said.

“That's good but don't force yourself,” Lu Qiang said while caressing Lu Lijun's hand.

Lu Lijun nodded.
Everything was sorted out so Lu Qiang and Lu Feng went their rooms while Lu Lijun lied back in bed, waiting for the sun to come out and to get out in the garden.

When Lu Qinag went to the room, Jiang Yuyan was freshened up and ready in new clothes.
She asked, “How is he?”

“He is fine now,” Replying, Lu Qinag went to the wardrobe to take out new clothes.
Jiang Yuyan stepped towards him and said, “Let me do it.” 

Lu Qiang stepped back and Jiang Yuyan pulled out clothes.
Once she was done, she said, “I will keep it on the bed.
You go have a bath.” 

Lu Qiang stepped towards the bathroom but halting midway he asked, “You didn't ask what happened with him.”

“I want to know it but before that, you need to be relaxed and fresh.
We can talk about it after that.”

“Hmm!” Nodding Lu Qiang stepped inside the bathroom.

Inside Lu Feng's room, there was the same scenario.
Jiang Yang was freshened up but he didn't try to tease Lu Feng or ask him anything.
Lu Feng grabbed his clothes from the wardrobe and went to the bathroom. 

When Lu Qiang came out of the room with a towel wrapped around his waist, his hair was damp and water droplets were falling on his shoulders.
He was trying to dry them with a small towel in his hands. 

Jiang Yuyan who was sitting on the bed reading something in a tablet, called him, “Lu Qiang, come here.
As Lu Qiang stepped towards her.
She got down from the bed and made Lu Qiang sit on the edge of the bed. 

Grabbing a towel from his hands, Jiang Yuyan started to dry his hair gently and suddenly Lu Qiang started to say something to her.

“He was five years old when all this started.”
